Description

In order to launch, run and deliver a successful project, one key ingredient is needed right at the beginning - A Project Charter. But not just any old Project Charter, a fantastic Project Charter!

Building a Project Charter is not an easy task. There are a range of complexities that need to be taken into consideration when it comes to building one, a process to follow and a number of steps you need to complete. Many projects I have worked in over the years have a "Project Charter", but the project still fails because the charter is missing key parts, is too complicated or just is not focused enough. Many people build a charter to say they have one, and leave it to fester and not deliver its true potential.

In my experience, those projects that are launched with a solid Project Charter, covering all the necessary steps are the ones that truly deliver.

In this course, we will look at:

- What is a Project Charter?

- The purpose and importance of a Project Charter.

- How to build a Project Charter.

- A step by step breakdown of all of the key aspects of a charter and how to complete them.

We will use a scenario to walk through this process, enabling you to see exactly how you could deploy your own project idea into a Project Charter as soon as you have completed the course!

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
